Description: CANCELLED> Caring is a mutually beneficial approach to teaching and learning for both the student and instructor. This workshop explores caring theory and its application within the 21st century classroom. Participants will leave the workshop with a variety of practical strategies, which can be applied to enhance their instructional practice. This workshop is open to graduate student and postdoctoral research associates. Participants will • discuss “caring theory” and its application within the 21st century classroom • discuss the particular relevance of “caring” and “relationship” in helping students actively engage during times of instruction • explore a variety of strategies that can be used by instructors to promote learning in the classroom
