Want to learn more about teaching in a college classroom? Looking for experienced mentors to help you get started on your future educational career? This is a unique opportunity for doctoral students to discuss relevant teaching techniques with other graduate students and experienced faculty from multiple disciplines. Students will design and implement a course module with a faculty mentor in an undergraduate classroom. Open to doctoral students in ALL disciplines. Topics include: Course Development Cycle, Teaching Strategies, Classroom Management, Teaching as Research, Assessment Techniques, Syllabus Design, and ePortfolio
Six (6) mandatory sessions, biweekly Fridays 3:00 to 5:00 PM; January 27, February 10, February 24, March 10, March 24, and April 28.
