Description: Every instructor wants their students to deeply engage, retain knowledge, and succeed, yet the term "High-Impact Practices" can feel like an overwhelming mandate that requires a major remodeling of your course. This workshop strips away the administrative jargon to focus on a sustainable approach: making your existing courses higher-impact.

By auditing the assignments and activities you already use, we will explore how small, intentional design tweaks can boost student engagement, success, and retention. Whether you teach a large lecture or a small seminar, this session offers a universal framework to elevate your teaching practices without inflating your grading workload. This foundational overview aligns with institutional goals while connecting you directly to customized CTE consultation support.

Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to…

1) Modify one existing course assignment to increase student engagement without increasing their grading workload.
