| Description: |
Whether you are starting to set up your course for the Fall semester or need a refresher on Canvas, this session will explore how intentional preparation at the beginning of the semester can lead to smoother teaching experiences later on. Participants will review practical steps to the course setup process in Canvas, including a guided walkthrough of the Start-of-Semester checklist.
Dr. Sherry Lin, a member of the Innovative Teaching Fellowship (ITF) Program, will share tips and strategies for setting up a Canvas course, drawn from her own course design experience. She will also highlight how her ITF project can support instructors in creating well-structured, effective Canvas courses from day one.
Learning Outcomes: Participants
will be able to…
1) Identify potential Canvas uses for their courses.
2) Review the steps to ensure that a Canvas course is ready for day one.
3) Identify one potential change that can be made to their current Canvas course. |
