| Description: |
Seventh in a series of workshops for graduate students, post-docs, and visiting scholars whose primary language is not English. This interactive workshop equips teachers and presenters to respond to unexpected questions from an audience. It teaches the intonation that speakers need in order to make a point, with well-placed emphasis on contrasting words.
Learning Outcomes: "Participants will be able to:
1. Use a four-step process for fielding questions.
2. Pronounce contrasting words with pitch, volume, duration, and vowel quality that set them apart from other words." |
