| Description: |
The Center for Teaching Excellence is excited to invite graduate students and teaching assistants to the 2026 Graduate Student Digital Learning (DL) Expo. This in-person event will feature sessions led by knowledgeable staff that highlight practical strategies and emerging trends in digital teaching and learning in higher education. Lunch will be provided.
Those that attend the entire day will receive a specialized G.R.A.D Aggies Foundations Certificate in Instruction and Assessment
Sessions are designed with graduate instructors in mind and will cover key topics including:
(1) Engaging students in Zoom and online environments,
(2) Integrating informational literacy into your teaching,
(3) Canvas gradebook,
(4) NotebookLM in the classroom,
(5) Strategies for making Word and PPT course content more accessible, and
(6) De-jargonizing terminology when teaching undergraduate students.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to...
1. Identify practical digital teaching strategies that support student engagement across in-person and online learning environments.
2. Discuss current trends and tools in digital learning, including AI applications and instructional technologies.
3. Explore accessible teaching practices, including clear communication and digital accessibility principles. |
