This session is designed for participants ready to deepen their digital accessibility practices. You will explore techniques in Word and PowerPoint that go beyond accessibility checkers.
Through real-world examples and remediation sprints, you will learn to identify nuanced accessibility issues, apply effective design practices, and evaluate content using built-in tools. Instructional designers from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will also share strategies for embedding accessibility into the course development process.
This workshop assumes prior familiarity with foundational accessibility concepts.
Learning Outcomes: Participants
will be able to…
1) Identify common accessibility issues in Word and PowerPoint documents.
2) Apply design principles to ensure content is both visually clear and structurally accessible.
3) Evaluate the limitations of automated built-in accessibility checkers. |
