Join the CTE, in collaboration with Dr. Angela Clendenin, a professor in the School of Public Health, to explore how well-designed discussions can engage students with course content. This session will demonstrate how to use discussions strategically to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and deeper understanding.
Participants will learn practical strategies for facilitating discussions, including prompt design, effective moderation, and leveraging feedback to sustain meaningful exchanges. Dr. Clendenin will share approaches from her public health crisis management course that promote collaboration, student discourse, and critical thinking as learners evaluate cases and propose solutions.
