Description: This workshop introduces graduate student instructors to practical strategies for creating accessible course materials in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Participants will explore common accessibility issues, learn how to apply effective formatting strategies, and practice using built-in accessibility tools to remediate materials. The session will provide practical guidance on headings, alternative text, reading order, hyperlinking, and other essential accessibility features. Participants are encouraged to bring at least one Word document and one PowerPoint file to revise during the workshop.

Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to...
1. Identify common accessibility barriers in Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.
2. Apply core accessibility practices such as heading structure, alternative text, and meaningful hyperlinking.
3. Use built-in accessibility checkers to evaluate and improve course materials.
