Eighth in a series of workshops for international graduate students, faculty, post-docs, and visiting scholars. This interactive workshop teaches the value of a well-managed class discussion and provides functional language for leading such a discussion. It also introduces a critical aspect of pronunciation, which is the linking of one word to the next.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to...
1.In a class discussion, react and respond appropriately to keep the discussion advancing.
2.Pronounce phrases with connected speech (linking consonant to consonant, linking consonant to vowel, and linking vowel to vowel across word boundaries). |
