Description: |
Dr. Henry Fadamiro, Professor of Entomology and Associate Vice President for Research and Strategic Initiatives, will lead this seminar on identifying and obtaining private funding for research. As traditional government funding becomes increasingly competitive, private sources provide valuable opportunities to support scholarly and teaching endeavors. Participants will learn strategies for seeking out private funding, crafting strong proposals, and positioning their research for success in a competitive funding landscape.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify potential sources of private research funding.
2. Develop strategies for approaching private funders and crafting proposals.
3. Evaluate how to position their research to appeal to private funding priorities." |
