Dr. Kristie Orr, Director of Disability Resources, and Justin Romack, Assistant Director for Assistive Technology Services, will lead this session on creating inclusive and accessible learning environments. Drawing from their extensive experience supporting students and educators, they will share practical strategies to ensure equitable access to the classroom for all learners. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of accessibility in higher education and tools they can apply to promote student success across diverse learning needs.
Participants will be able to:
1. Define key principles of accessibility in higher education.
2. Apply practical strategies to make teaching and course design more inclusive.
3. Evaluate their own classroom practices for opportunities to improve accessibility. |
