Description: |
The process of training as a new advisor can often be a trial by fire. Advising offices can create practices and resources that give structure and support to the learning process for new advisors, and NACADA’s Core Competencies and New Advisor Development Chart provide a map of what should be learned. Yet the process of creating comprehensive training and development programs from the ground up can feel daunting (if not impossible). This webinar’s hosts will share their experiences creating structures to support new advisor learning and break down their developments into manageable steps for implementation. We will help you dream big in design and think small in implementation to see your interventions compound changes over time (and will include a few helpful resources to get started with those small changes). |
