Description: The recent Title II revision (the Final Rule) mandates that all digital content comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards by April 24, 2026. This first session emphasizes the importance of digital accessibility and its impact on ensuring all students have access to content.

This workshop will cover key accessibility standards and their impact on course content. Participants will also explore various assistive technologies that support students with disabilities. By the end of the session, you will have the knowledge and awareness needed to navigate the digital accessibility landscape.

Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to…

1) Describe the importance of digital accessibility.
2) Review accessibility standards.
3) Explain how digital accessibility intersects with software design and content creation.
