Seventh in a series of workshops for international graduate students, faculty, post-docs, and visiting scholars. This interactive workshop equips teachers and presenters to respond to unexpected questions from an audience. It teaches the intonation that speakers need in order to make a point, with well-placed emphasis on contrasting words.
Learning Outcomes: Participants
will be able to…
1) Use a four-step process for fielding questions.
2) Pronounce contrasting words with pitch, volume, duration, and vowel quality that set them apart from other words. |
