Back by popular demand, this series from the Spring 2025 semester returns. The recent Title II revision (the Final Rule) mandates that all digital content meet accessibility standards, ensuring usability for all users. This first session emphasizes the importance of digital accessibility and its impact on ensuring all students have access to content. The Final Rule, approved by the Department of Justice, requires that all digital content comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards by April 24, 2026.
This workshop will cover key accessibility standards and their impact on course content. Participants will also explore various assistive technologies that support students with disabilities.
