Description: |
Sixth in a series of workshops for international graduate students, faculty, post-docs, and visiting scholars. This interactive workshop introduces Bloom's Taxonomy and the "flipped classroom" approach where active learning takes place during class time. It encourages teachers to ask their students thought-provoking questions that are grammatically correct and pronounced with correct intonation.
Learning Outcomes: "Participants will be able to:
1. Distinguish lower-order thinking from higher-order thinking.
2. Generate questions appropriate for college students.
3. Pronounce wh- questions and yes/no questions with accurate grammar and appropriate intonation contours." |
