| Description: |
Third in a series of workshops for international graduate students, faculty, post-docs, and visiting scholars. This interactive workshop provides instructors and public speakers with functional vocabulary for describing a visual aid aloud. It promotes comprehensible speech by teaching the importance of stressing the correct syllable within a word, how to stress a syllable (in terms of pitch, volume, length, and vowel quality), and how to know which syllable to stress. |
