Description: |
Game-Based Learning (GBL) leverages the power of play to help students practice, develop, and master important skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration which are crucial for students to succeed academically and professionally. Participants will examine how GBL can be effectively integrated into their instructional approaches and methods and also explore how play can help motivate and engage students using “pleasant frustration," "productive failure,” and flow.
- Identify elements of play and game-based learning that can be incorporated into classroom experiences to maximize student learning
-Describe how play can potentially increase student motivation and engagement.
