The Office of the Provost is hosting its annual New Degree Program Proposal Orientation on Wednesday, October 12, 3:30 – 5:00pm via Zoom. Representatives from colleges/schools, campuses, and departments or sections considering the development of a new degree (not certificates nor changes to existing degrees), with the anticipated implementation of AY24-25, are required to attend.
The workshop will review the following information:
1. Requirements of the University, A&M System, Board of Regents, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and SACSCOC;
2. Processes and procedures for review and approval of new degree proposals;
3. Required documents that must be submitted with the proposal; and,
4. Strategies for estimating costs and revenues
