Description: |
Have you been noticing the impact of the mid-semester stressors on those around you? Do find yourself wondering how to respond to others in the midst of distress? This interactive session will explore signs of distress as well as examining healthy & helpful avenues of responding to students’ and others’ expressed needs. Together we will discover ways of showing you care while setting healthy boundaries as you assist others in connecting to resources.
Participants will be able to:
• Identify signs of distress that might indicate that your student is struggling with mental health concerns and recognize how they relate to academic performance
• Identify strategies of establishing healthy boundaries around your role as you create opportunities to support & connect others to resources that help them to succeed in this challenging academic world.
