Description: Tools for Department Leadership Teams to Respond to an Evolving Landscape: **DEPARTMENT HEADS SHOULD REGISTER FOR THE TEAM** As we face the fluid circumstances associated with current events and the resulting impacts on higher education, it is timely to attend this virtual development opportunity for department leadership teams (4-8 people; must include the Department Head). This half-day workshop will explore how department leaders can use the Appreciative Inquiry process to engage the department and generate inclusive ideas to meet departmental challenges. By focusing on the strengths within the unit the appreciative inquiry approach cultivates resilience as teams co-create a positive plan for their future. This interactive experience will have leadership teams work together to both practice the approach and explore resources they can use moving forward. While this workshop is focused on academic departments, college leadership teams may also register.
