As a higher percentage of the population gains experience playing digital games, digital game-based learning (DGBL) has the potential to provide new ways for instructors to facilitate learning. This hands-on interactive workshop focuses on some of the general theoretical and research perspectives on DGBL and models possible approaches in the classroom. Participants will play digital games and discuss the potential of DGBL with its implications for experiential learning and mastery of 21st Century skills. They will also gain insight on how they can implement DGBL into their own teaching. |
