Thoughtful active engagement with students during lectures supports comprehension, retention and critical thinking.
In this PART ONE at the April 2nd workshop we will model and discuss a variety of lively lecture formats such as Energy Shifts, Textual Exegesis (Modeling Analytical Skills), and Problem Solving.
In PART TWO at the April 5th workshop we will model and discuss a variety of lively lecture formats such as Debates, Affective Media Lecture, and Simulations and Role Playing.
We will also discuss effective delivery strategies. After these workshops, you will have a new working understanding of how lectures can be designed to support engagement and learning in small and large classrooms. |
