| Description: |
Do you have questions about English grammar that haven't been covered in a workshop or need additional practice with a challenging grammar topic? Special Topics in Grammar for Speech is an interactive drop-in session where participants can ask questions about grammar for spoken communication and receive individualized guidance. Discussions may focus on topics such as verb tenses, modal verbs, question formation, articles, passive voice, or any other grammar questions participants bring. Practice activities will be tailored to attendees' needs, providing opportunities to apply new learning by practicing speaking using realistic scenarios. The goal is to enhance grammatical accuracy, spoken fluency, and confidence.
Participants will be able to:
1. Identify situations in academic and instructional communication where accurate grammar is essential for conveying meaning clearly.
2. Produce appropriate grammatical structures in spoken English, applying individualized feedback to improve accuracy and comprehensibility.
3. Monitor and revise their own spoken grammar while communicating in academic and professional contexts. |
