Description: |
Grammatical errors can hinder successful spoken communication. Speakers can communicate more effectively when they utilize the appropriate verb tense. In this workshop, attendees will review and practice narrative verb tenses while discussing research and reviewing previously covered classroom topics. They’ll explore the pedagogical impact of reviewing prior learning. An optional assignment for extended practice will be available on Canvas.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to…
1.Utilize narrative tenses to recall previous lecture material and discuss connections to current content.
2.Produce narrative verb tenses effectively in the discussion of research findings, choosing the appropriate tense to convey temporal relationships.
3.Facilitate review activities during lab sessions or lectures, utilizing appropriate narrative tenses to reiterate and reinforce key concepts covered in previous classes.
