Need to write or revise your teaching philosophy statement? This workshop provides graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with an introduction to the teaching philosophy statement. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a detailed outline supporting a first draft of their teaching philosophy statement.
Participants will be able to...
1. Describe the structure of a statement of teaching philosophy.
2. Identify personal preferences within key areas of teaching and learning (e.g., instructional approach, classroom management).
3. Construct a statement of teaching philosophy.
4. Recognize elements of a teaching portfolio. |
