| Description: |
International students and faculty have an opportunity to practice and reflect on their own teaching and public speaking in a friendly, low-risk environment. Each participant teaches a five-minute lesson on a topic of their choice, to a small audience of peers, plus an English Language Proficiency consultant and often an undergraduate student. Each participant then receives feedback on presentation, pronunciation, body language, visual aid, and engagement with the audience. Videorecording is optional. By practicing in this way, participants increase their confidence and clarity.
Microteaching Practice takes place via Zoom videoconference. Advance registration via ERS is required; those who register via ERS will be emailed the Zoom meeting ID and password. |
