Description: |
As part of the Inaugural Student Development and Advising Approaches Workshop Series; this session will provide an introduction to the concept of student development, some of the underlying assumptions that inform how practitioners approach student development and foundational theories that help frame how we not only help students survive, but thrive, during their time on campus. The presentation will provide opportunities to discuss how to incorporate aspects of these theories into day-to-day interactions with students to enrich the time we spend with students.
All academic advisors and student service professionals who directly work with students are encouraged to attend.
