Description: |
College students across the country have one thing in common—they often don’t read before class. As instructors, we have a choice: get angry or take action. In this workshop, we will focus on the latter by discussing strategies for getting our students to engage with and comprehend the readings we assign for class. By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped with strategies and tools for assigning texts, raising student reading engagement, increasing student comprehension, and connecting the readings meaningfully to the lecture. |
