Description: |
One of the often-cited barriers to implementing engaging and motivating pedagogy is a perception that considerable lecture time will be lost resulting in a reduction in course content. Instructors also cite concerns about finicky technology and onerous out-of-class workloads. Fortunately, there are many options for engaging and motivating students that do not require significant amounts of class time, are relatively easy to implement, and do not require technological support. This workshop will focus on those strategies and will include examples of learning and assessment techniques that can be adapted to multiple disciplines. Participants will leave with one to two ideas to implement in their own courses. |
