Description: |
Ever wonder how much your students actually absorbed from all of the work they completed in your course? Will what they learned really “stick”? Short, reflective writing assignments can be used to reinforce learning and don’t have to involve hours of grading. This workshop will focus on reflection mapping, low-stakes writing assignments, and assessment techniques that reinforce learning while providing valuable information for more formal course assessment. The facilitator will also share data from a pilot extending this method to end of class debriefing session allowing students to reflect upon lessons learned.
