Description: |
While traditional lecture can be an effective method of teaching, there are many additional methods that can actively engage students in the learning process. This interactive session will focus on ways to enhance teaching by incorporating learner-centered instructional approaches, such as problem-based learning, active learning, and collaborative learning into the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to actively participate as different methods and approaches are modeled and demonstrated. The session will also include a brief discussion of effective approaches, benefits, and strategies to avoid potential challenges when using the various teaching methods. |
