Attorneys Gina Maisto Smith and Leslie Gomez of Pepper Hamilton LLP will present a one-day educational session regarding institutional responsibilities under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and related authority.
As ACRIC investigators this is a unique training opportunity provided by experts in the field. The topics covered during this one-day training will include: weighing credibility/word-against-word testimony; recognizing patterns, threats, and predatory behaviors; reviewing Title IX jurisdiction; exploring differences between employee and student investigations; and other timely and relevant information.
The Dean of Faculties office will pay for the costs of this one –day training session, which will take place on campus at a location to be determined. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. |
