Description: |
Using movement and peer interaction within the classroom enables students to engage with course content, thereby enhancing comprehension. The link between classroom activity, cognition, and learning preparedness is robust in younger students, but emerging research supports college students may also gain academic-related benefits from these innovative teaching techniques. This session will offer participants activities and strategies to engage students in active learning across disciplines that can be applied to any content, acknowledging the potential barriers of class size and room configuration. Participants will leave the workshop with simple, ready-to-implement techniques for the college classroom. |
