Description: |
OGAPS will provide an overview of Texas A&M University ELP policies and procedures related to international graduate admissions and the requirements for ELP certification, related to eligibility for graduate teaching positions. The Center for Teaching Excellence’s English Language Proficiency program (CTE-ELP) provides linguistic support to graduate students and faculty who are teaching in their second language. Attendees will become familiar with the many services CTE-ELP provides, and which groups get priority when space is limited. The particular requirements and resources for conditionally-appointed teaching assistants, as well as best practices in TA selection, will be shared |
